We educate our members on the need to belong to the Union, their responsibilities as employees, relations between the Union and the state, the economy and Gender issues.
Programmes are organized to build the leadership capacities of the youthful and female teachers, to increase their participation in Union activities. These are anchored on the GNAT Youth Policy and the Gender Policy. The Youth and Gender Desks also undertake advocacy, and networking, among others. Some female teachers are given scholarships annually, to study in the Universities to upgrade themselves.
